What is Jikiden Reiki?

About Jikiden Reiki

How does Jikiden Reiki work?

By using specific hand positions, practitioners can channel energy into the recipient’s body to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual healing.

During a session, recipients can relax while the practitioner focuses on areas of the body that require attention. Jikiden Reiki can help restore the natural balance of the body’s energy systems, reducing stress and improving overall well-being.

While generally safe and non-invasive, Jikiden Reiki should not be used as a substitute for medical care.

The origins of Jikiden Reiki

In 1922, the Shin Shin Kaizen Usui Reiki Ryoho Gakkai or “Association of Usui Reiki Treatment for the Improvement of Body and Mind” was founded by Mikao Usui. The purpose of this institute was for Mikao Usui to share a new energy healing method he discovered with as many people as possible.

Nowadays, it is the Jikiden Reiki Institute in Kyoto led by Tadao Yamaguchi that regulates and teaches the new practitioners and teachers of Jikiden Reiki. Tadao’s mum, Chiyoko Yamaguchi learned Jikiden Reiki from Chujiro Hayashi, one of the 20 people trained by Mikao Usui.
